Utilizing proven designs and shapes fine tuned by Tyler for decades, Tyler Surfboards is proud to announce a stripped down performance line. This tier of his models are made to be ridden hard and put away wet. Keeping it simple, the Engineered by Tyler models are bare bones hot rods: think radio delete, no heater or trim, steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps, with a four on the floor  powered by a 409 under the hood. An assembly line geared for mass production, Engineered by Tyler is a CNC cut production line with Tyler trained craftsmen. The notable Aquatech surfboard factory will be handling the manufacturing process–a saving cost that will extend to the rider. Fittingly, the building that houses Aquatech in Hermosa Beach is where Tyler got his start in the surfboard industry as well as was one the first full scale factories built purposely for surfboard manufacturing by Greg Noll in the 60s. The Engineer by Tyler line will consist of all models under 9’ as well as six longboards models–three existing models and three new models blending designs from Tyler’s 40 years of advancing traditional surf design.
